Rutland Civil Service Sailing Club is probably the smallest of our our CSSA sailing clubs but has probably grown the quickest in recent years through determination of the club to establish itself as a place to “Sail in good company!”
With 2017 now well and truely under way the club invites you to consider sailing with them. As a novice, or experienced sailor they have something to offer.
The National Squib is a one design racing keelboat, originally designed by Oliver Lee in 1967 and just under 6.0m in length, with a 1.87m beam and a fin keel of 1m draft. The Squib has been described as “a lovely little yacht” but when being sailed competitively can readily be appreciated for performance characteristics more akin to a racing dinghy.
They are running tasters from 23 June – 15 September.
